1、Tentative Interim Amendment NFPA 30A Code for Motor Fuel Dispensing Facilities and Repair Garages 2003 Edition Reference: 9.2.5.4 as such, it then is subject to all of the procedures of the standards-making process 1,Reviseparagraph 9.2.5.4 to read as follows: 9.2.5.42 Signs. Warning signs shall be
2、conspicuously posted in the dispensing area and shall incorporate the following or equivalent wording. Warning It is unlawful and dangerous to dispense gasoline into unapproved containers. No smoking. Stop Motor. No filling ofportable containers in or on a motor vehicle. Place container on ground be
3、fore filling. Discharge vour static electricitv before fueling bv touching a metal surface awav from the nozzle. Do not re-enter vour vehicle while gasoline is DaumDing. If a fire starts, do not remove nozzle -back awav immediatelv. Do not allow individuals under licensed age to use the DaurnD. 2. A
4、dd a new Annex A.9.2.5.4 as follows: Annex A A9.2.5.4 The following language includes both the mandatorv reauirements and some optional text that could be used to complv with the reauirements in paragraph 9.2.5.4. Before usingpump, touch any metal on the car away from your vehicles fuelfiller with bare hand. This will discharge static electricity on your
7、 body. Failure to fully discharge may ignite gasoline vapors. Do not re-enter your vehicle while gasoline ispumping. This can re-charge your body with static electricity. rfyou must re-enter your vehicle, discharge static electricity again before touching the pump nozzle. rfafire starts, do not remo
8、ve nozzle. Back away immediately and tell attendant. rfno attendant is on site, use the emergency shut-off button to stop pump. Do not allow individuals under licensed age to use the pump.
