10、in Gas Processing Technologies The main factors driving innovations in the gas processing industry are costs and environmental regulations. Commercial and research organizations participating in this highly competitive market work constantly on new solutions leading to lower capital and operational
11、costs, reduced emissions and carbon footprint. The chapter presents some of the recent achievements in the various stages of natural gas processing. Morphysorb Morphysorb is a physical solvent acid gas removal process developed jointly by Gas Technology Institute (GTI), Des Plaines, Illinois and Uhd
12、e Corporation. Morphysorb consists of a mixture of N- Formylmorpholine (NFM) and N- Acetylmorpholine. The solvent has several advantageous properties, including: very high selectivity, low co- absorption of C1 to C3 hydrocarbons, high CO2 and H2S pickup, excellent removal of organic Shale Processing
13、 Equipment no additional improvements and equipment (e.g. additive recovery or downstream dehydration facilities) are necessary. The technology is suitable for even highly sour gas, as there is no limit on CO2 and H2S content. This makes CFZ a cost -effective alternative to sulfur recovery plant. As
14、 high pressure operation, CFZ reduces equipment requirements for acid gas injection or enhanced oil recovery. Additional savings are achieved by reducing fuel gas consumption, as gas treatment, acid gas injection and /or power generation are all integrated. Finally, CFZ contributes to the reduction
15、of CO2 emissions. The method was first tested in 1986 at the Clear Lake Pilot Plant, near Houston Texas. Currently ExxonMobil is working on CFZ commercialization with a commercial demonstration plant at its Shute Creek Treatment Facility in La Barge, Wyoming. Shale Processing Equipment ?There is no

The essential element in t
17、he membrane gas/liquid contactor is the microporous membrane. The membrane wall keeps the gas phase and the absorption liquid separate from each other. The gas stream is fed along one side of the membrane. The components to be removed from the gas stream diffuse through the membrane. On the other si

Another benefit of the technology is lower BTEX emissions compared to a traditional absorber (e.g. benzene absorption reduced by 2.6 percent, toluene 9.3 percent).
