Why or why not? Step IV Reading Scanning Get the Ss to comprehend the passage quickly and accurately and meanwhile help the Ss to form a good habit of reading. Show the questions on the screen. 1. Why didnt she go downstairs one evening until the window had to be shut? Skimming In this part, the Ss will read the text again and then work together with their partners to get the main idea.
