Extractable constituentsExtractable constituents The extraction must be performed in an apparatus in which the rising steam of the extraction fluid heats the glass filter crucible or the extraction sleeve made of fibrous paper. Preferably, a Soxhlet extractor with a reflux cooling system must be used. The extraction time is (18 ± 1) h, and the ex traction fluid is ethanol. 5 g of granulate fraction of a crushed pipe specimen, which has been sifted through a test sieve with nominal mesh sizes of 0,5 mm and 3,5 mm according to DIN ISO 565, is used for the extraction. Aging tem perature (110 ± 1) °C; aging duration (22 + 2) h.
