Abstract: CFB combustion technology, up to now, is the most commercial clean coal combustion technology, and becomes one of the most important developing directions for coal-fired boiler. With the development of technology, the capacity increases continually, from the industrial boiler, medium capacity utility boiler to large one. Several 200MW to 300MW CFB boilers have been put into operation and the design of 600MW CFB boiler is reliable too. The operating reliability will depend on the stability of refractory material significantly. It introduces the status of scaling-up of CFB boiler, the general situation of CFB boiler in China and the request of refractory materials.
