Reasonable thickness tolerances are specified to cover a broad band of the sheet tolerances available. Imperial thickness materials may still be used if the overall tolerances are maintained. Amendment No. 1 (AMD 1185) to the 1970 edition, which specified dimensions of oversizes, has been incorporated. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations. Materiala: alloy steel in accordance with BS S 515 or BS S 510. 2. Finish: Cadmium coat in accordance with DTD 904. 3. Temperature limitation: 250 °C. 4. Washers shall be free from surface defects and sharp edges, scale, pitting and burrs. 5. Washers shall be flat within a tolerance of 0.005 in with parallel faces. 6 Washers may be rejected at any time for faults in, or revealed by, manufacture, although they may have previously been passed for chemical composition and mechanical properties. 7. Example of call up: BS SP 151 B is a 632 alloy steel washer 0.8 mm thick, standard size. BS SP 151 BY is a 632 alloy steel washer 0.8 mm thick, oversize. 8.
