The designation of these end mills will be the subject of a future International Standard. 2 Normative reference The following standard contains provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this International Standard. At the time of publi- cation, the edition indicated was valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this International Standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most re- cent edition of the standard indicated below. NOTE 1 The dimensions given in table 1 also apply to solid hardmetal end mills with flatted parallel shanks in ac- cordance with IS0 3338-2:1985, Parallel shanks for milling cutters - Part 2: Dimensional characteristics of flatted parallel shanks 4 Centre cutting End mills with two flutes shall be centre-cutting (slot drills).
