Remarks : The units and numerical values given in in this Standard are based on the traditional units and are appended for informative reference. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. For these normative references, only the editions of the year described constitute the provisions in this Standard, and revised editions and amendments thereafter are not applied. Follow the agreement between the parties concerned. No deviation on the minus side is permitted. 6.2 The dimensions and the tolerance of width and length of film shall be in accordance with Table 4. Only when the special dimensions are required, the dimension of width shall be in accordance with the agreement between the parties concerned with delivery. Width and length Width Length 7 Test 7.1 General condition of test The general condition of test shall be as follows. 7.1.1 Standard condition in test place The standard condition in test place shall be at 23 O C I 2 O C of temperature and (50k 2) % of relative humidity specified in JIS Z 8703, if not specified particularly. 7.1.2 Sampling method of sample The sampling method of test sample shall be as follows. a) For the test pieces to be used for the tests of thickness, strength (tensile strength and elongation at break) and durability, cut off approximately 2 m in length of film at longitudinal direction ( 2 ) from the end of rolled film. Take out the total of nine pieces of sample for test piece and three pieces of sample for measurement of thickness, as dividing into the upper, lower and central pasts as shown in Fig. 1. Note ( 2 ) The longitudinal direction means the direction of film at forming. b) For the test pieces to be used for the tests of permeability, strength (holding strength of binding needle) and ignition property, cut off approximately 1 m in length of film at longitudinal direction from the end of rolled film. 7.1.3 follows. Preparation method of test piece The preparation method of test piece shall be as a) Prepare the test pieces to be used for the tests of tensile strength, elongation at break and durability from the nine pieces of the sample for test piece taken according to 7.1.2 a) as referring to Fig.2. The dimension of test pieces shall be in accordance with Fig. 3. Prepare the test piece to be used for the tests of permeability, holding strength of binding needle, and ignition property from the sample for test piece taken according to 7.1.2 b) as referring to Fig. 4. The measuring condition shall be in the ambient condition such as 40 O C kO.5 O C of temperature and (got-2) % of relative humidity. The permeability shall be expressed by vapour resistance and the mean value of three measured values. The conversion to vapour resistance from the permeability in the case of measuring at the same condition shall be as follows. R, = 573.6 x Where, R, : vapour resistance (m2*s*Pa/ng) P,: Permeability g/(m2*24 h x (1PJ The strength test shall be as follows. strength and elongation at break The test of tensile strength and the calculation of elongation at break shall be in accordance with the test method and calculation method specified in JIS K 6783 with using of the test pieces prepared according to 7.1.3 a). The test speed shall be (100f 10) mm per min or (500k 50) mm per min. 7.4.2 Holding strength of binding needle The test for holding strength of binding needle shall be as follows. For the stretching, the tensile test machine specified in JIS K 6783 shall be used. Holding strength of binding needle at 23°C of temperature The test for holding strength of binding needle at 23 O C of temperature shall be in accordance with the test method specified in JIS A 6111 with using of the test piece prepared according to 7.1.3 Holding strength of binding needle at -5 “c of temperature The test for holding strength of binding needle at - 5 O C of temperature shall be as follows. Fix the test piece prepared according to 7.1.3 b) with using of binding needle by the method specified in JIS A 6111, put it in a thermostat controlled at -5 O C of temperature, fix (') it to a tensile test machine, keep it for 3 min after the temperature in the thermostat has become - 5 O C k 0.5 O C , and carry out the test according to the test method specified in JIS A 6111. b). Note ( 3 ) Fix test piece at the upper part of clamping chuck and plywood at the lower part of clamping chuck. 7.5 Durability The durability test shall be as follows. 7.5.1 Residual rate of elongation at break in longitudinal direction after heat-treated The residual rate of elongation at break in longitudinal direction after heat-treated shall be obtained according to the following. a) Heat-treat the test piece in longitudinal direction prepared according to 7.1.3 a) by the method specified in JIS K 7212. The condition of heat treatment shall be at 90 “C k 2 “c of temperature for 34 we
