This Amendment of JIS B 2311 : 1997 has been prepared on August 20, 2001. Consequently, Annex (normative) in this amendment is added to JIS B 2311 : 1997. For other characteristics than those above-mentioned, the related requirements of the text shall apply. Shape and dimensions For the shape and dimensions of 45“ elbows, short, Annex Attached Table 1 applies. For the shape and dimensions of necked 90“ elbows (double and single necked) and necked 45“ elbows (single necked), Annex Attached Table 2 applies. Annex Attached Fig. 1 shows the shape of peculiar angle elbows. The peculiar angle 8 shall be subjected to the agreement between the parties concerned with delivery. The dimension of D shall be in accordance with Attached Table 3 of the text. The face-to-centre dimension, S, of elbows with a peculiar angle 8 shall be obtained from S = F x tan (8/2). Where, F is the face-to-centre dimension of 90“ elbows given in Attached Table 3 of the text. The shape and dimensions shall be as follows. Annex Attached Figs. 2 and 3 show the shape of necked 180“ elbows (double and single necked). On the agreement between the parties concerned with delivery, a designated neck length, N, may be added to the dimensions given in Attached Table 3 of the text. Annex Attached Fig. 4 shows the shape of necked peculiar angle elbows (single necked). The peculiar angle, 8 , and the neck length, N, shall be subjected to the agreement between the parties concerned with delivery. For the dimension of D, Attached Table 3 of the text shall apply. Annex Attached Fig. 5 shows the shape of necked caps. A designated neck length, N, may be added, on the agreement between the parties concerned with delivery, to the dimension given in Attached Table 3 of the text. A designated neck length, N, may be added, on the agreement between the parties concerned with delivery, to the dimension given in Attached Tables 5 and 6 of the text. h) i) The dimensional tolerances and limited values shall be as follows: 1) The dimensional tolerances on short type 45“ elbows shall be as given in Attached Table 7 of the text. 2) For the tolerance on the face-to-centre dimension (including neck length, if necked) of elbows, that on the dimension (H, F) given in Attached Table 7 of the text applies. For the tolerance on the face-to-back dimension, including neck length, of 180“ elbows, that on the dimension K given in Attached Table 7 of the text applies. For the tolerance on the face-to-back dimension, including neck length, of necked caps, that on the dimension E given in Attached Table 7 of the text applies. For the tolerance 'on the face-to-face dimension, including neck length, of necked reducers, that on the dimension H given in Attached Table 7 of the text applies. For the tolerance on the face-to-centre dimensions, including neck lengths, of necked tees, that on the dimensions (C, M) given in Attached Table 7 of the text applies. For the limited values for off angles and off planes, the tolerances on off angle, X, and off plane, Y, given in Attached Table 8 of the text shall apply respectively. 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 2.3 Marking To be marked with the following information, besides those speci- fied in clause 12 of the text, except that the units of the angle and length may be omitted.
