Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the dimensions of insert type couplings( for fire-hose, hereinafter, referred to as the llcouplingslf. Note (I) The type in which a hose is mounted on the outsides of the tail end male and female of a coupling. 2. Names of Respective Parts The names of parts of the coupling shall be as given in the following: Locking ring Rubber band D . . Classification The couplings shalï be classified, according to their nominal sizes, into four sizes of 40, 50, 65 and 75. 4.
