、ON 629, PART 2 - Page 1-1 ATTACHMENT 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 Purwse of this Document This document is intended as an Application Guide for users of the ARiNC 629 data bus. It provides design guidance on the implementation of the ARINC 629 data bus in avionics systems. This document identifies the system
、issues to be resolved by the bus designer and provides recommendations on the design processes involved. The document is expected to be useful to engineers and designers concerned with the application of the ARINC 629 data bus in aircraft installations. Therefore, the features of the bus which are m
、ost appropriate for an aircraft application are described in this document. 1.2 RelationshiD to other Documents This document is intended to be used in canjunction with ARINC Specification 629, “Multi-Transmitter Data Bus - P a r t 1, Protocol Description“ which describes the technical details of th
、e bus operation.“ 1 . 3 Organization of P a r t 2 of ARINC 629 This document is organized into numerous attachments. Each atachment contains a series of application notes relating to an ARINC 629 bus topic. The topical groupings include system notes, terminai controller notes, current mode serial in
、terface module notes, current mode coupler notes, and fiber optic notes. Each application note is taken from material presented to the AEEC Data Bus Subcommittee or the ARINC 629 Users Group, and an individual note may represent pari or ail of the material presented. Each attachment is identified by
、 a unique attachment number, a title, the company or organization that prepared it, and a date of presentation. 1.4 Guidance for Using This Srnification This document contains information concerning the application of the ARINC 629 data bus. Generaily, the material in this guide addresses the decisi
、ons necessary to implement a bus system. This document, however, is not fully inclusive. It is recognized that as the bus is used in different applications new techniques will be discovered for optimizing its use. 1.5 ARINC 629 Users Group The ARINC 629 Users Group was established to provide a techn
、ical forum to present proposals and to develop, discuss and review documents that will result in continuing improvements to the ARINC 629 Data Bus. The U s e r s Group is also a means to exchange ARINC 629 application information between users to ensure compatibility between different vendors applic
、ations and products, and to encourage acceptance and full use of the ARiNC Specification 629 data bus standard. An ARINC 629 Users Group meeting can include product announcements, product demonstrations, tours, discussions of problem reports and other experiences with ARINC 629 bus equipment. For in
