    21、Recommendationsforimprovementoftheaccuracybyalternativemicrophonearrangement,variationintransferfunctionandtypeofrandomnoisearepresentedinArmeXC.Thismethodiscomplementarytotheextendedsurfacemethod(ISO13472-lffl)thatcoversanareaofapproximately3m2andafrequencyrange,inone-thirdoctavebands,from250Hzto40

    22、00Hz.Bothmethodsshouldgivesimilarresultsinthevalidfrequencyrange,buttheirfieldsofapplicationandthereforetheiraccuracywilldifferstrongly.ThemethoddescribedinISO13472-1haslimitedaccuracyatsmallsoundabsorptionvaluesandisthereforeunfittocheckcomplianceofsurfaceswiththerequirementsinISO10844orsimilarregu

    23、lations,whilethemethoddescribedinthisstandardfailsathighersoundabsorptionvalues.Withintheirrangesofapplicabilitythemethodsareapplicablealsotoacousticmaterialsotherthanroadsurfaces.Themeasurementresultsbythismethodarecomparablewiththeresultsoftheimpedancetubemethod,performedonborecorestakenfromthesur
