34、nandrequiresomeadditionaltestingforimpactsoff-crown,front,rear,sidesofthehelmet.Italsoincludesaretentionsystemthatmeetsrequirementsforchinstrapstrengthandeffectiveness.Inadditiontotherequirementsforthetype1andtype2helmets,thisdocumentincludesrequirementsforspecialapplications,forexamplelowtemperatur

35、e,hightemperature,electricalinsulation,electrostaticandenhancedvisibilityproperties.EN14052,Highperformanceindustrialhelmetsoffersevengreaterprotectionfromfallingobjects,protectionfromoff-crownimpactsandprotectionfrompenetrationbyaflatbladestriker.Italsoincludesaretentionsystemthatmeetsrequirementsf

36、orchinstrapstrengthandeffectiveness.Angledandtangential(rotational)impactsareoneofthecausesofheadinjuries.Atthetimeofdevelopingthisdocument,norotationaltestmethodwasavailable.Therefore,onlyIinearimpactstoahelmetedheadintheshockabsorptiontesthavebeenaddressed.CEN/TC158willinthenearfuturepresentanewte

37、stmethod,whichcanbeusedinfuturerevisionsofthisdocument.Thewearingofahelmetmeetingtherequirementsinthisdocumentreduces,butnoteliminates,theconsequencesofheadinjury.Aproportionoftheenergyofanimpactisabsorbedbythehelmet,therebyreducingtheforceoftheblowsustainedbythehead.Therearelimitstotheamountofprote
