11、upportedbytheoriginalsystem.Inthisprocedure,thesystemtowhichyouattachtheconvertedFAS2240diskshelfiscalledthenewsystem.1.icensinginDataONTAP8.2StartingwithDataONTAP8.2,alllicensekeysare28upper-casealphabeticcharactersinlength.InDataONTAP8.2,youneedtoobtainanew,28-characterlicensekeyforeachpackage.You

12、cangetlicensekeysfromtheNetAppSupportSiteintheMySupportsectionunderSoftwarelicenses.Ifthesitedoesnothavethelicensekeysyouneed,contactyourNetAppsalesrepresentative.Youhave90daystoinstallthematchingkeysforeachcontroller.Duringthegraceperiod,thenewcontrollercanusethesamelicensedfunctionalitythattheorig

13、inalcontrollerhad.After90days,theoriginalcontrollerskeyswillberemoved.Duringthegraceperiod,youhave24hoursafterthefirstvalidlicensekeyisinstalledtocompletelicenseinstallationforallpackagesthatyouwantthenewcontrollertouse.Afterthe24-hourperiod,allpreviouslyinstalledlicensesthatwereassociatedwiththeori
