39、consideredonlyasaconfirmationofthevisualassessment.7.5 Ifthetestpiecedoesnotcrackbeforebursting,reportthevaluesofdistensionandloadatburst.Ifthetestpiecedoesnotburstwhenthemaximumforceordistensionisreached,recordthedisplacementandreporttheresultas“morethanmaximumdistension,ormorethanmaximumIOaer(e.g.

40、15mmor800N).NOTEIfthereisapauseduringthedistensionofatestpiece,relaxationofstressesinitoccursandtheforcereadingtendstofall.Therefore,thetestisideallycontinuouswithnodelays,but,ifnecessary,anydelayduringdistensionbetweencrackingandburstislessthan15s.7.6 Retracttheplunger,removethetestspecimen,andinsp
